Local companies meet local experts

For the third time, the Velener Digital Summit took place on our premises at the invitation of the city of Velen and under our direction. The event has continued to grow. Both the number of visitors and the number of contributions have increased.

Opening and capricious weather

While setting up and preparing, we were still annoyed by one or the other downpour, the sun rose at the latest with the musical opening by the Düsseldorf guitar duo Barriola. The mayor of Velen Dagmar Jeske and our managing director Max Messing opened this year's event in a charming way as usual.

Natalie Jakubik has not only taken on the post of economic development for the city of Velen, but also the moderation of the Velener Digital Summit competently and with a lot of spirit.

Top-class speakers and pioneering topics

The central topic of the invited speakers was the development and possible uses of artificial intelligence. Both for companies and in the private sector. Presented in a very entertaining and tangible way through diverse contributions with renowned speakers:

  • Marvin Liedermeier von Tobit spoke with Natalie in an engaged and engaging way about “AI for SMEs”
  • Daniel Meis and Hubert Robert whimsically illuminated a wide range of applications of AI
  • Prof. Dr. Buchmüller informed about the legal situation regarding AI
  • Jonathan Wandscheer shared his insights on AI startups in Münsterland
  • Hendrik Schiller, who brought AI-based software to learn a musical instrument in an entertaining and impressive way
  • Nisa Inanici reported on artificial intelligence in customer service.
  • Sven Grave showed the guests some very touching examples of applications of artificial intelligence
  • Marcus Matzner and Max Messing shared their experience with AI in the digitization of SMEs

Culinary delights and good humor

During the subsequent networking and cheerful exchange until late in the evening, the Flappi Mobile spoiled the guests with delicious and varied tarte flambée and pizza. As last year, Getränke Förster and the friendly team of counters took care of the good supply of cold drinks. Silke von Lieben (WeinZeit) once again presented an excerpt from her extensive range of products.

Looking ahead to the fourth round

The Velener Digital Summit 2024 was a complete success, which showed how important exchange and networking between local companies and experts is. It was really fun again and we're excited to see what the fourth round of the Velener Digital Summit will look like. We are already looking forward to next year!
